Dr. Shahzad Raja Nasir is a Hematologist, Oncologist and BMT consultant.
Shahzad an expat Pakistani professional. After staying abroad for nearly 20 years wanted to move back to Pakistan.
His demand was a green contemporary house with out of the box approach. But keeping the traditions of segregation in mind. Demand was to keep traditional Kashmiri culture in mind also.
Father of two teenage boys and caregiver of his ageing mother was basic need. Moving his family back who have been brought up outside the country.

The Project:
Dr. Shahzad’s residence is sandwiched between house and adjacent public road. It is therefore built on an ordinary site with no extra, eye pleasing features. So basically the design revolves around the ideology of creating views within an enclosed space.
The focus is designing the house as an ensemble of internal and external spaces that are engaged in an intimate dialogue.
