Project Overview: This one kanal residence, situated on a corner plot in DHA Phase 8, Lahore. The project encompasses a basement, ground floor, and first floor, showcasing a unique fusion of functionality, privacy, and modern aesthetics. Architectural Language: The design adheres to Brutalist principles, emphasizing raw, unadorned materials and geometric forms. The use of fair-faced concrete dominates the façade, creating a robust and enduring presence. Minimalist metal and glass elements are strategically incorporated to enhance the building’s contemporary look. The façade is characterized by its bold, uncompromising lines and texture. Windows are ingeniously concealed within the concrete structure, maintaining the overall architectural integrity while ensuring privacy. Despite their discreet placement, each room benefits from ample natural light. The alignment of windows has been meticulously planned to capture optimal sunlight and facilitate natural ventilation, aligning with the sun’s path and prevailing wind directions. Skylights are also integrated to augment natural illumination and enhance the overall luminosity of the interior spaces.
